Las Vegas, Nevada (during ACTE Conference at off-site location)- Thursday, December 2, 2010 - ETL Training will be provided off-site, at the College of Southern Nevada, during the upcoming ACTE Convention. Dr. Darrell L. Parks, NATEF Consultant, will lead this seven hour workshop, offered to secondary and postsecondary automobile, collision repair & refinish, and medium/heavy truck training program instructors who desire to be Evaluation Team Leaders (ETLs) and lead programs through the on-site evaluation certification process. Participants are required to be ASE-master certified in their specialty area, and currently employed as an instructor of an ASE certified program. Upon successfully completing this training and passing a take- home quiz, participants will have fulfilled the requirements to serve as an ETL. Each training participant will receive a complimentary ETL manual. The training will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Las Vegas, Nevada (ACTE Conference)- Friday, December 3, 2010 - "NATEF Update Session" will be offered during the ACTE Conference from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. This session's topics will include: 1) NATEF's transition from program 'certification' to program 'accreditation' in 2011, 2)GST (General Service Technician) efforts, and 3) The value of advisory committees.
